Originally available on the cassette "Oh My Land!" We pulled off three of the brightest gems, polished 'em up, and pressed 'em to sweet red vinyl!
Formed as an outlet to vent against the Reganomic climate of the late 80's, Pioneer Disaster was the first prototype of what would become "tractor punk". The songs were born out of the plight of working folks out here on the plain, and hearken back to the Populist notions of individual rights over corporate greed. Equal parts Johnny Cash, Replacements and Minutemen, a dramatic new sound was being born, whether we realized it or not. Listening to this now, it's funny how little the world has changed.
