The Mezcal Brothers of Lincoln, Nebraska have been playing their own brand of roots rock and rockabilly for the past
seven years. In past years, the band has received the award for recording of the year from radio station KZUM, mentioned as
one of the top rockabilly bands in the country by Goldmine Magazine, received 5-star record reviews from Blackcat Rockabilly
(Europe), Rockabilly Monthly Magazine, Blue Suede News, and Big Beat Magazine (Finland). The Mezcal Brothers are currently
on tour promoting their fourth release, "Go Go Rhythm," which was released on Jungle Records (Finland), and Spinout Records
(Nashville). The album features twelve heart-pounding original songs that are sure to get those feet a tappin'. In 2006, The
Mezcal Brothers had the opportunity to work with and backup rockabilly legends like, Narvel Felts, Charlie Gracy, and Wanda
Jackson. Over the years The Mezcal Brothers have shared the stage with some of the most well known acts in the country, such
as Link Wray, Narvel Felts, Wanda Jackson, The Blazers, Sleepy LaBeef, Lee Rocker, Jimmy Thackery, Big Sandy, Magic Slim,
Los Strait Jackets, Ronnie Dawson, and the Paladins, who were quoted as saying, "They should change their name to the Fabulous
Mezcal Brothers because they are fabulous!" The band members are nothing but entertainers to the very end with their greased
up hair, flashy clothes, and some of the wildest stage antics you'll ever see. The Mezcal Brothers are made up of four
members: Gerardo Meza (vocals, and rhythm guitar), Benny Kushner (lead guitar), Charlie "Fireball" Johnson (upright bass),
and Shaun Theye (drums). The quartet remains extremely busy touring around the world playing clubs and festivals like, Rock
’n’ Roll Jamboree(Finland), Enviken’s Midsummer Rockin’ (Sweden), Surf Ballroom (IA), The Zoo Bar(NE),
Grand Emporium(Kansas City), Lee's Liquor Lounge(Minneapolis), Skylark Lounge(Denver), The Dollhut(Anaheim), Tractor Tavern(Seattle),
Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Fest.(SD), Rockabilly Rebel Weekend(Indiana), Rockabilly Ball(Seattle), Eureka Springs Blues Fest(Arkansas),
